Since the 1970's, I have been studying and advising family companies. My interests in family business and business families have evolved over the years from family work relationships to professional development of family members to family business governance to the reasons behind long term success.

Today, through my work at Harvard Business School, I have the opportunity to research the most interesting and complicated issues facing our field. With my colleagues at the Owner Managed Business Institute, I am able to help families and businesses at all stages work through the challenges that they face.
